THE BIGGER PICTURE – MOSIMANE TO AMAKHOSI IS STILL POSSIBLE

Let’s take a look at the current situation of both parties involved. For starters, Chiefs are in the market for a new coach. Furthermore, Mosimane’s short-term deal with Al Abha is set to expire in June. Amakhosi wants an experienced and successful coach. Meanwhile, Mosimane is open to joining a team that has a clear project and a vision. Arguably, the biggest project in the PSL, is returning Amakhosi to their glory days. Additionally, Mosimane’s side, Al Abram are fighting for survival and are on the bring of relegation. So, if they are relegated he will certainly not earn a contract extension. Although, the plan was always for Mosimane to move onto bigger things. After all, he signed the short-term four-month deal intentionally.

Finally, Percy Tau is reportedly open to joining Chiefs if they sign Mosimane. Therefore, all that is needed is a strong offer from the Soweto giants for Mosimane. An official offer must be made. Currently, finance, and an official offer are the only obstacles in the way of making this move happen. However, this is the first bit of official communication between the two parties that has gone public and it is off to a good start. Meanwhile, with several players linked with exits, Amakhosi could free up funds for Mosimane if they really want him.
