Kaizer Chiefs 21 goals and 10 assists poacher attracts interest

Kaizer Chiefs target man with 21 goals and 10 assists attracts PSL suitors as he exits another Betway Premiership club, according to FARPost.

TS Galaxy and Serbian striker Samir Nurkovic have parted ways, just as the transfer window approaches its close. The breakup comes despite Galaxy triggering a one-year contract extension for Nurkovic at the end of last season. Nurkovic, who joined Galaxy in September 2023 after a stint with Royal AM, scored 10 goals in 29 appearances but struggled for consistent starting spots under coach Sead Ramovic, leading to the mutual termination of his contract.

Impressive past and future prospects

Before his time at TS Galaxy, Nurkovic made a significant impact at Kaizer Chiefs, where he scored 21 goals and provided 10 assists. Though previously linked with AmaZulu FC, negotiations fell through due to disagreements over the transfer fee. AmaZulu has since added Etiosa Ighodaro and Senzo Ndlovu to their squad.

SuperSport United has emerged as a potential destination for Nurkovic, likely motivated by the long-term injury to their main striker, Bradley Grobler. Grobler is expected to be out for four to five months following surgery, creating a gap in SuperSport’s attack. While Terrence Dzvukamanja is an option, Nurkovic’s addition could offer valuable firepower during Grobler’s absence.

As SuperSport United prepares to kick off their Betway Premiership campaign against Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday, they must act quickly to secure Nurkovic’s services. A move to SuperSport could provide Nurkovic with the consistent starting role he seeks and a chance to reassert his presence in South African football.

Nurkovic and Hunt: Perfect fit for SuperSport

The potential partnership between Samir Nurkovic and SuperSport United, guided by coach Gavin Hunt, promises to be a perfect fit. Nurkovic’s powerful presence and clinical finishing align seamlessly with SuperSport’s style of play, which emphasizes high-quality crosses and early deliveries into the box. This combination could significantly enhance SuperSport’s attacking options and prove to be a game-changer for the team.

As the transfer window nears its end, all eyes are on whether Samir Nurkovic will make the move to SuperSport United. If the transfer goes through, Nurkovic could play a crucial role in filling the void left by Grobler’s injury and become a key asset for the team’s attack.
