Joseph Mpande Scoops MVP Accolade in Vietnam
Ugandan center forward Joseph Mpande has been voted as the 2020/2021 season’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) for his Hai Phong FC club in Vietnam.
Mpande was crowned the club’s most outstanding player for the season on Thursday following his impressive performance in a campaign that saw the club beat the drop with 19 points from 18 matches.
The Uganda Cranes and former Vipers Sports Club striker made 18 Vietnam league One appearances for Haiphong and emerged as the club’s leading goal scorer with seven goals and four assists.
His impressive display and consistency made the club coach Phạm Anh Tuấn entrust him with the armband to captain the team this season.
Mpande joined Hai Phong in the 2018/19 season from Myanmar outfit Hanthawardy Football Club.
