Jordan Ayew praises Abdul Fatawu Issahaku for working hard to reach the Premier League

Ghana forward Jordan Ayew has commended compatriot Abdul Fatawu Issahaku for his determination in reaching the Premier League. The 20-year-old winger faced challenges during his time at Sporting CP after moving to Europe in 2022. Club manager Rben Amorim noted that Issahaku struggled with some fundamental aspects of the game and didnt quite fit into the team’s system. After a stint at Leicester City on loan during their relegation, Issahaku made significant contributions that helped the club secure rapid promotion back to the Premier League.Ayew joined Leicester City this past summer, reuniting with Issahaku. Reflecting on Issahakus journey, Ayew expressed admiration for the young talent. Its really great, actually. I met Abdul for the first time at the national training camp with Ghana around six years ago, Ayew told Showmax. This just shows you that the boy has done a really good job and has worked hard to get to where he is today. All credit to him.I am now here at Leicester City to not only continue my football journey but to also make sure Abdul is in a good place, because I know it isnt easy at all for young players.I was very lucky because I had my brother and a few other senior players that were always advising me.Now that I am here, and have been in the position to know how it is, I can guide him, but also be hard on him when I have to be. Its all positive things for him.Jordan Ayew has featured in eight matches for Leicester City while Fatawu Issahku played nine times for the Foxes.
