Veteran journalist Wanja Thuku breathed her last on November 23, 2020.
The news of her death was announce by the station.
“It is with great sorrow that we regretfully announce the passing on of one of our own, a mother, writer, journalist and colleague, Wanja Thuku.”
Wanja is celebrated for her warmth and ingenuity in penning sucinct scripts for Inooro TV’s popular TV show, Ithaga Riene.

She wrote,
“If I tagged you, don’t disappoint me. I don’t normally do these things but seeing as we are in such an odd time I think we all could do with a pick me up.
I’ve felt the pain of being knocked down, and I’ve decided I’ll be part of the construction of others! If I didn’t tag you, please, no offense. I tried to choose people I thought would make this challenge fun!! “
She added,
“Too often, women find it easier to criticize each other instead of building each other up. With all the negativity out there, let’s do something positive!
