Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus has shared the reason behind celebrating his goal for West Ham against Brighton on a traditionally crafted elephant stool.The West Ham star is widely known for his famous ‘take a seat’ celebration, which many players have emulated.However, after netting the equaliser against Brighton at the London Olympic Stadium on Saturday afternoon, the former Ajax player pulled out the customised elephant stool to celebrate.Explaining the idea behind the celebration, Kudus stated that he had to do something different to showcase his country, Ghana.”The stool is from Ghana,” he said after the game. “With my celebration on the boards, a lot of people are copying it now so I had to do something to standout and showcase Ghana,” he added.”The elephant is a symbol of traditional authority back home in Ghana.”Kudus, who recently returned from a five-game suspension, has now netted three goals and delivered an assist in 12 Premier League games this season.
