In a statement signed by Emma Powerful, IPoB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, the group emphasized that its mission and that of its detained leader are legal and noble.

IPoB accused Bashir and the Buhari administration of duplicity, stating that they imported murderous terrorists into Northern Nigeria and are now trying to drag IPoB and Nnamdi Kanu into their terrorism mess.

The group maintained that Nnamdi Kanu is a peaceful and unarmed freedom fighter, unlike Turji Bello, who is a government-sponsored terrorist.

IPoB also highlighted the hypocrisy of the Nigerian government, which has spent billions of dollars and Naira to kidnap and detain Nnamdi Kanu illegally, despite court judgments in his favor. The group emphasized that it will not allow Fulani terrorists to drag its leader’s name into their terrorism mess.

Furthermore, IPoB sympathized with the indigenous Hausa people, who are being decimated by Fulani terrorists, and urged them to rise up and defend themselves. The group reiterated that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is a peaceful freedom fighter, unlike Turji Bello, who is a soulless terrorist, and that there is no comparison between the two.
