Inaki Williams benched as Otto Addo names strong starting XI vs. Angola

Inaki Williams will start from the bench for the Black Stars against Angola in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers at the Baba Yara Stadium.The Athletic Club striker returned to the squad after missing the previous assignment due to injury. However, coach Otto Addo has selected Antoine Semenyo ahead of the 30-year-old.Lawrence Ati Zigi maintains his spot in between the sticks with Alidu Seidu, Tariq Lamptey, Abdul Mumi and Mohammed Salisu completing the back four for the former African champions.Elisha Owusu who was a major doubt seems to have recovered and will partner with captain of the day Thomas Partey to shield the backline.Jordan Ayew who last scored a hat-trick in Ghana’s previous game at the Baba Yara Stadium has been given the nod in attack. He will be supported by Mohammed Kudus and Fatawu Issahaku as Ghana aim for a strong start in the qualifiers.The game kicks off at 16:00 GMT.
