Singer Kelly Khumalo has announced that she has graduated from the initiation school and is now inyanga (traditional healer).
A CERTIFIED TRADITIONAL HEALER
Kelly has marked her 40th birthday with numerous milestones in her life. On Monday, the singer revealed through Instagram that she had graduated as inyanga (traditional healer) following intense training.
She posted a picture of herself dressed in traditional Zulu clothing adorned with feathers. In her caption, she said that had been summoned and has now become a certified healer.
“Awu Hlanga lomhlabathi Slwane Esinamandla, wabizwa wasabela now you are a certified healer,” she wrote.
KELLY OPENS UP ABOUT HER INTENSE TRAINING
During an interview with Mroza on Ukhozi FM on Monday morning, the reality TV star expressed gratitude to God for safeguarding her and her loved ones during challenging times when she faced the possibility of losing everything.
“Today, I’m also graduating as an inyanga, so I’m officially inyanga.”
“After 15 years of searching and trying to figure out who I am, today I’m finally graduating and am now a certified inyanga,” she said.
‘I WAS TRAINED 4-5 TIMES’
The ‘Empini’ hitmaker said her training took place in various settings, including the water, and nature, through prayer, and by connecting with her ancestral roots.
“Mine is different. It’s not just traditional healing but a universal gift. It’s not only focused on black people, but it’s universal hence it’ll go all over the world. That’s why it took longer for me to even figure it out, gogo.
“I was trained four to five times, but today is the first time I’m graduating as inyanga,” she told Mroza.
