Ibrahim Sannie Daara calls for Bernard Tekpetey to be given a chance in Black Stars
Former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ibrahim Sannie Daara, has urged the technical team of the Black Stars to consider Bernard Tekpetey for a call-up, citing the wingers impressive performances for Ludogorets in the Bulgarian top flight.Despite a consistent run of form over the past four seasons, the 27-year-old has only earned two appearances for the Black Starsboth during the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations. He made one substitute appearance and started in Ghana’s third-place playoff match.With Ghanas qualification hopes for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations hanging by a thread, Sannie Daara believes its time to broaden the selection pool and consider players outside Europes top leagues.”I think that we should widen the scope not only to the top leagues of the world, but also give preference to those on the periphery of the top leagues in Europe, he told GHOne TV.One example that comes straight to mind is Bernard Tekpetey.
