"Iâm relieved" – Legon Cities tactician Paa Kwesi Fabin after ending Ghana Premier League winless run
Legon Cities coach Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin says he is now relieved following his outfit victory over Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.Fabin, considered as one of the experienced coaches in the country came under intense pressure following his outfit difficult start to the Premier League campaign. They secured only points from their initial seven games of the season, losing five and drawing two across the period.But on Wednesday night, Legon Cities defeated the Porcupine Warriors 2-1 at the University of Ghana Stadium in an outstanding match to record their first win of the Premier League campaign.The home team opened the scoring in the 22nd minute through Albert Yeboah, setting the tone for a challenging match for Kotoko.The visitors pulled parity in the 76th minute after in-form forward Albert Amoah found the net, bringing hope back to the Kotoko camp with just 14 minutes remaining.However, Abdul Rahman stepped up in the dyeing embers of the game, scoring a stoppage time goal to secure maximum points for the embattled Legon Cities.Quizzed if has been relieved after the win, Fabin replied, Yes of courseLegon Cities have moved from the bottom to the 17th position on the Ghana Premier League standings after eight matches.
