How Springbok team looked last time they beat ABs in Cape Town
The Springboks are set for a blockbuster battle against the All Blacks in Cape Town this Saturday in what will be another fascinating chapter to add to the storied history of these two arch-rivals.
This weekend’s clash will see South Africa and Zealand clash in Cape Town for the 11th time, with all of the previous encounters between the sides taking place at Newlands.
Of those prior Tests, the Springboks have only won three times, with the latest victory coming in 2005 to the tune of 22-16.

The Springboks first took on the All Blacks at Newlands in 1928 and their most recent encounter took place nearly seven years ago in October 2017.
The All Blacks’ biggest margin of victory came in Percy Montgomery’s 100th Test when they won 19-0.
Fast-forwarding to the present, the Springboks will be hoping to claim a piece of history with a victory at Cape Town Stadium this weekend, which would be their fourth in succession against New Zealand.
