Hon Kyagulanyi Didn’t Dodge Oulanya’s Burial – NUP Clarifies

National Unity Platform (NUP) has dismissed rumours on social media that their Principal Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine traveled to Gulu but decided not to attend the funeral of Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah in Omoro.

According to the Party Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya, Kyagulanyi was not in the country during the burial ceremony but he returned later in the night.

” President Bobi Wine arrived 10pm from Geneva last night aboard Brussels airlines. Headed to Gulu this morning. At the burial, the National Unity Platform was well represented by LOP Rt. Hon Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba, Deputy President for the Northern Region Dr. Lina Zedriga Waru, MPs and other comrades,” Rubongoya said.

The claims were made earlier by Kasambya county MP David Kabanda, who tweeted “I am aware Hon Kyagulanyi was in Gulu yesterday but feared to attend burial in Omoro.”
