Musician Prince Kaybee shared a video of Hamilton being embraced by his dad after the race which he captioned:

“This broke my heart. Lewis doesn’t deserve this. Max was nowhere near him from racecraft, pace and pure professionalism, and respect for this sport. Disappointing, unfair, and unpleasant. Stay strong Lewis.”

Trevor Noah on the other hand shared how Hamilton’s loss brought some excitement to the F1 races:

“Terrible result for Lewis but a great result for F1. Championship decided on the final race, everyone arguing about the rules online and a dramatic ending for the next season of Drive to Survive. Better to be a controversial sport than a boring one.”

While Sizwe Dhlomo said Hamilton was let down by his team:

“Lewis even told them on the 33rd lap that he doesn’t think his tyres will last. Lewis did everything a driver should do. His team just let him down.”
