Harambee Starlets upbeat ahead of Morocco Friendly
The national women’s soccer team Harambee Starlets departed for Morocco Wednesday ahead of their International friendly match against the hosts.
Starlets is set to face Morocco on Friday in their first of the two matches with the second one scheduled December 3rd.
Head coach Beldine Odemba has named her 21-member travelling squad. The squad a mix of youth and experience has U17 Captain Elizabeth Ochaka and defender Christine Adhiambo being in line for their first caps after earning their debut call ups.The duo featured for the national u17 women’s soccer team at the 2024 FIFA Women’s U17 World Cup.
U20 Women’s team goal keeper Christine Adhiambo has also made the squad for the first time as well as Trinity Starlets’ Jackline Chesang’ and Diana Cherono from Vihiga Queens.
The International friendly is Kenya’s second in as amny FIFA international break windows after featuring in the Pink Ladies Soccer tournament last month in Turkey.
