Gravity Omutujju Opens Up About Recent Concert Flops: “It Nearly Drove Me Into Depression”

Rapper Gravity Omutujju has revealed that his recent flopped shows especially the Masaka one, nearly drove him into depression.

Gravity has been a dominant force in the local music scene for nearly a decade, consistently holding successful concerts both in Kampala and across the country. However, 2023 has presented the rapper with significant challenges, as his highly anticipated shows have fallen short of expectations.

In late August, Gravity faced a major setback when his concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval, a venue known for hosting large-scale events, flopped. This was followed by another underwhelming performance during his extra concert in Masaka.

In an interview with NRG Radio, Gravity described how deeply the Masaka event affected him. “The show I held in Masaka at Maria Flo was the biggest flop. It nearly drove me into depression. It was the worst show I’ve ever experienced,” he revealed. This low point in his career has left a lasting impact on the artist, as he grappled with feelings of failure and disappointment.

Despite these tough times, Gravity remains optimistic about his future. He expressed hope that he will bounce back and once again organize successful concerts, a testament to his resilience and determination in the face of adversity.
