Ghanaian winger Ansgar Knauff on target as Eintracht Frankfurt hammer Bochum
German-born Ghanaian attacker Ansgar Knauff delivered an outstanding performance to help Eintracht Frankfurt secure an emphatic victory over Vfl Bochum in the German Bundesliga.The former Dortmund winger lasted the entire duration as his outfit made light work of Bochum at the Deutsche Bank Park on Saturday.Knauff was among the goal scorers when Frankfurt thrashed Bochum 7-2 to snatch maximum points in the thrilling encounter.France international Hugo Ekitike opened the floodgate for the home team, just nine minutes into the game after he was set up by in-form Egyptian star Omar Marmoush.Frankfurt doubled their lead in the 18th-minute mark after Marmoush scored a direct free-kick in the much-anticipated clash.The home team continued their dominance in the match, with Ansgar Knauff and Nathaniel Brown extending the advantage in the 20th and 32nd-minute marks respectively.Bochum reduced the deficit in the 35th and 51st minute through Dani de Wit and Philipp Hofmann.However, additional goals from Mahmoud Dahoud, Can Uzun and Hugo Ekitike in the second half ensured Frankfurt walloped Bochum to clinch the three maximum points.The 22-year-old has made seven appearances for Frankfurt in the German Bundesliga this season, scoring two goals across the period.
