Ghanaian midfielder Kelvin Ofori extends scoring form for Spartak Trnava
Ghanaian midfielder Kelvin Ofori was on target for his club FK Spartak Trnava as they edged out MFK Skalica in the Slovakian Nike Liga on Saturday afternoon.The 23-year-old got the opening goal of the match to inspire Trnava’s 2-0 victory in the end at the City Arena Trnava in the matchday 16 fixture.Ofori scored in the 25th minute to give the hosts the lead after receiving a pass from Czechia midfielder Milos Kratochvil following their dominance.The advantage was extended moments before the half-time break when Nigerian forward Philip Azango scored from Czechia midfielder Erik Daniel’s pass.The victory ensured Trnava consolidated their third position on the league standings with 30 points as they trail the top spot by 7 points.Ofori has been in remarkable form this season, having netted 7 goals in 12 matches in the Slovakian top-tier. He has also scored once in 3 games in the Slovak Cup.
