Ghanaian midfielder David Abagna Sandan registered his first league goal in the Cypriot championship on Sunday, helping APOEL Nicosia to beat Enosis Neon Paralimni FC.Abagna scored the opening goal and assisted the other in the matchweek 14 encounter as APOEL claimed a comfortable 2-0 victory over the relegation threatened side at the Neo GSP Stadium in Nicosia.The former Ghana international midfielder netted the first goal of the match after 13 minutes with a sumptuous curled shot from outside the box to beat the goalkeeper.Abagna’s brilliant through ball set up Greek forward Anastasios Donis to double the advantage for APOEL a few moments later.With the win, APOEL remains in the 5th place on the league standings with 24 points, 10 more away from leaders Pafos FC, who still has a game in hand.Abagna has one goal in 13 games in the Cypriot League this season.
