Ghanaian journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni adjudged the Best Journalist In West Africa
Multiple award-winning Ghanaian journalist, Manasseh Azure AAwuni has been adjudged the Overall Best Journalist in West Africa at this year’s West Africa Media Excellence Conference and Awards (WAMECA).
The ceremony which was held under the auspices of the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) had the freelance journalist win two awards: Best in Anti-Corruption Reporting and Overall Best Journalist in West Africa.
Manasseh Azure Awuni has carved a very endearing name for himself as far investigative journalism is concerned. His works have been featured on many international platforms and his investigative pieces have helped to uncover the rot in several sectors of human society.
He is admired for the level of professionalism he puts into his work and the quantum of hard work and sweat he invest into being a revered journalist not just by words but deeds.
According to him, his investigative piece “Grounded Wheels” won him the Overal Best Journalist in Africa. Other seasoned journalists were also awarded for their service to society and the media fraternity at the just ended West Africa Media Excellence Conference and Awards (WAMECA) 2020.
