Ghanaian forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh features for FC Zurich in narrow home win against Sion

Ghanaian international, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh was in action for FC Zurich on Sunday when the team secured a 1-0 win over Sion in the Swish Super League. The former Hearts of Oak poster boy earned a place in the matchday squad of his team and started in the first eleven as the arrowhead leading his teams forward line.In the FC Zurich home match, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh put up a decent performance for his team, making sure that the team ran away with all three points.The only goal of the match was scored by Mariano Gomez after he was assisted by Mounir Chouiar in the 17th minute.In the Round 8 contest of the 2024/25 Swiss Super League, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh played 45 minutes and was replaced by Nigerian attacker Ume Emmanuel.The attacker will be looking at working hard in training to ensure he plays regularly for FC Zurich.The win puts FC Zurich at the summit of the Swiss Super League.
