Rasmus Alm doubled the home sides lead early in the second half, converting a Teuchert assist in the 54th minute.Sporting Kansas City responded quickly, as Afrifa reduced the deficit to 2-1 in the 63rd minute with a well-placed shot from a Jacob Davis assist. However, St. Louis City restored their two-goal advantage when Eduard Lwen scored in the 75th minute, again assisted by Teuchert, who played a key role in the victory.Sporting Kansas City had more possession (53%) and took 17 shots, but couldnt break through St. Louis defense. Theyll next face LAFC on October 6th, looking to bounce back from this defeat.
