Ghanaâs Mohammed Kudus receives additional two-game ban for red card against Tottenham
Ghana winger Mohammed Kudus has received an additional two-game suspension following his red card during a match against Tottenham last month. This additional game ban came following a ruling from the English Football Association on Wednesday, November 6.The incident occurred in the 82nd minute of a 4-1 loss, where Kudus committed a foul on Dutch defender Micky van de Ven. This confrontation ignited a brawl, with van de Ven alleging that Kudus punched him in the face.In addition to van de Ven, Kudus also shoved Pape Matar Sarr in the face, escalating tensions on the pitch.Initially, referee Andy Madley issued a yellow card, but a VAR review later prompted him to upgrade it to a red card for violent conduct. This decision automatically triggered a three-match ban for Kudus. The Football Association later charged Kudus with another instance of violent conduct, leading to the additional two-game suspension. As a result, he has already missed matches against Manchester United and Nottingham Forest, with the suspension concluding this weekend when West Ham faces Everton.Kudus extended ban now prevents him from participating in upcoming fixtures against Newcastle on November 25 and Arsenal on November 30.
