Ghana forward Jonathan Sowah strikes again as Al-Nasr maintain perfect start
Ghanaian forward Jonathan Sowah was once again on target as Al-Nasr Benghazi extended their unbeaten run in the Libyan Premier League Championship round.The former Medeama SC star scored the second goal in a 2-0 victory over Al Ahly Tripoli on Sunday.Midfielder Al-Gozoli Nooh opened the scoring for Al-Nasr before Sowah sealed the win with a late strike.The victory keeps the club at the top of the table and boosts their chances of clinching the league title.Sowah has been in impressive form since joining Al-Nasr from Medeama, where he was the top scorer in their Ghana Premier League-winning campaign.His seven goals in Libya have solidified his reputation as a prolific striker.Despite his excellent form, the Sowah was surprisingly omitted from the Black Stars squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.However, Sowah remains in the plans of coach Otto Addo and will be looking to continue his goal-scoring exploits to earn a recall to the national team.
