GFA wants to construct two more natural pitches in Prampram – Henry Asante Twum

The Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, Henry Asante Twum, has revealed that the association intends to build two more natural pitches at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.Asante Twum stated that the association has installed six boreholes at their technical center to maintain the natural grass pitches. However, despite the drilling of the boreholes two years ago, he admitted that the Black Stars cannot train there because the pitches are not in good condition. When it comes to training pitches for national teams, the primary decision-making power lies with the head coach, he told Joy Sports. He decides where he wants to train, and this decision is based on a number of factors, with security being one of them.Currently, we have two grass pitches in Prampram, and we want to build two more.At the moment, we Black Stars cannot training there because the existing pitches are not in good condition. These pitches were constructed years ago, and when we initiated the borehole project in Prampram, it was to see if we could restore those pitches to a usable condition. This process takes time, as it involves significant investment and financial resources.
