GFA announces one-week break for all competitions ahead of December 7 elections
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed a planned break for all its competitions following this weekends matches, allowing participants to fulfil their civic duties in the upcoming national General Elections on December 7, 2024.As per the GFA calendar for the 2024/25 season, the Ghana Premier League, Access Bank Division One League, Malta Guinness Womens Premier League, and other football competitions will take a short one-week pause after the MTN FA Cup Round of 64, Matchday 6 of the Malta Guinness Womens Premier League, and all other scheduled matches this weekend.Football activities are set to resume on the weekend of Friday, December 13, 2024. This break, already included in the league fixtures, is a reminder to all clubs and match officials.The GFA urges all stakeholders and Ghanaians to engage in the election process peacefully and wishes the nation a successful election.
