Four for Aheebwa as KCCA Put Eight Past Onduparaka

  • KCCA FC 8-0 Onduparaka

KCCA Football Club went top of the Uganda Premier League after a mesmerizing 8-0 victory against Onduparaka at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo on Tuesday.

Danger man Brian Aheebwa grabbed a quadruple (four) whilst the sensational Sam Ssenyonjo scored a hat-trick. Herbert Achai got in on the act and participated in the scintillating display by the Kasassiro Boys.

Aheebwa was set up by Ssennyonjo to fire KCCA in the 17th minute before Herbert Achai’s 40-yard scorcher left goalkeeper Augustine Opoka helpless.

On the half hour mark, Ssenyonjo made a clinical finish for the third goal after a quick counter attack met him well positioned before tapping in the fourth from a rebound after goalkeeper Opoka failed to thwart away Aheebwa’s attempt.

In the 45th minute, Aheebwa stretched KCCA’s lead to five when he converted a penalty that resulted from a foul on Andrew Kigozi Samson by Mahadi Ajobe.

In the second half, midfielder Keziron Kizito laid a defense splitting pass that met Ssenyonjo who pocked home past Opoka for the 6th goal, completing his hat-trick.

On the 65th minute mark, the Kasassiro Boys sailed to the seventh floor through striker Aheebwa who got his hat-trick before eventually adding another from yet another spilled ball from the goalkeeper Opoka to complete the rout.

KCCA FC, which plays Mbarara City on Friday, now tops the summit with six points from two games having pipped Bright Stars 2-0 in the league opener.

Whilst Onduparaka remains on one point will face UPL debutante MYDA at the King George IV Memorial Stadium in Tororo on the same day.
