Fort Portal: Scores Killed In Grisly Link Bus Accident

Up to 20 passengers have been confirmed dead after a deadly accident involving a Link Bus, which was travelling from Kampala to Fort Portal.

Traffic Police spokesperson Faridah Nampiima says the accident occurred this morning at around 10.30am, and involved a link bus number  No UBA 003S.

The bus appeared to have veered off the road, plunging into a tea plantation.

“It happened 2KMs from Fortportal city at a place called Sebitoli,” Nampiima said.

 

We have disptached an ambulance with a support team to respond to an accident that has just happened near Kibale Forest, along Fort Portal – Kyenjonjo road.

“So far 20 people have been confirmed dead, out of whom thirteen are adults while 7 are juveniles.
Out of the twenty, 11 are male and nine are female.”
