Former Kaizer Chiefs star’s PSL return hits a snag!

Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Samir Nurkovic’s search for a new club continues after negotiations with TS Galaxy reportedly came to a halt.

Nurkovic is looking for a new side after his move to Royal AM turned sour before he could even wear their shirt in a competitive match.

As reported by The South African, the Serbian has been embroiled in a legal battle with former side Royal AM.

Nurkovic was tipped to join PSL side TS Galaxy however, according to the latest reports, middle-ground could not be found with Tim Sukazi’s side.

According to local soccer publication FarPost, talks have broken down between TS Galaxy and Samir Nurkovic’s representatives.

Galaxy were offering the former Kaizer Chiefs star a considerably low package according to the publication.

Nurkovic’s search for a new club will now continue after his agent rejected Galaxy’s final offer.

In other news, Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande has began his post-career preparations.

The 36-year-old Zimbabwean called time on his playing career at the end of last season after a 12-year run in the PSL.

Katsande joined Ajax Cape Town in 2010 from Harare Gunners and after impressing in the Cape, he earned a dream to Kaizer Chiefs in 2011.

As the saying goes, the rest was history for Katsande who enjoyed a trophy laden 10 year spell at the Amakhosi.

In 2021, the midfielder parted ways with Chiefs before joining Sekhukhune United for a solitary season.

He then called time on his career as a player however, he’s now likely to return to the sport but this time around as a coach!

“I did my CAF D licence in order for me to set the path of my growth since I know what I want.” The Kaizer Chiefs legend told KickOff.

“I owe football because to get to be where I am today is through football, so I owe football. This is now my time to share my knowledge to the next generation so that they come out better than us.

“With us, we tried our level best, but it wasn’t good enough for us to conquer African football.”
