That impression left many convinced that he felt at home in South Africa more than in Zimbabwe. Since then, he hasn’t been in good standing with Zimbabwean media.

HUGE SALARY CAP AND POOR PERFORMANCE

Despite being among the highest-paid stars, Khama Billiat’s stint at Kaizer Chiefs was marred with injuries. Apart from injuries, he failed to make some moments of brilliance as expected, given his colourful stint with Mamelodi Sundowns.

His poor form attracted criticism from fans and the media, seemingly affecting his stint with the Soweto giants.

FALLOUT WITH MIKE NGOBENI

Khama Billiat’s fallout with his agent, Mike Ngobeni, is also believed to be the most significant blow to his career. The two ended their working relationship under unclear circumstances in August 2020.
