FKF PL: Title Hopefuls Mara Sugar held by Sofapaka
Mara Sugar and Sofapaka battled to a 1-1 draw in premier League match played Sunday in Awendo.
Sofapaka went ahead through Ronald Ssempala’s strike in the fourth minute. The 2009 winner thought they had already won the match but Mara Sugar levelled the scores in added time through Mathias Isogol.
Sofapaka who were out for their first win since beating Kakamega Homeboyz early this month were reduced to 10 men after Vincent Oluoch was shown red card in the 92nd minute.
Following the draw Mara Sugar who are enjoying a dream debut campaign are second on the FKF PL standings with 16 points,four adrift of leaders KCB while Sofapaka is now placed ninth with 10 points from nine matches.
In another result Ulinzi Stars played to a barren draw with BIDCO United.Ulinzi bidding for their first title in almost 14 years is placed 8th with 10 points while BIDCO who sought to win their second match on the bounce are placed 10th with 10 points.
The round 10 matches are scheduled Wednesday 27th November.
