Fire Guts Ministry of Agriculture Stores in Wandegeya

A fire this Sunday morning destroyed Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Industry and Fisheries stores in Wandegeya.

The stores located next to Ministry of Public Service contained among others drugs, and other chemicals, pesticides, animal sperms and fridges, most of which went up in flames.

Police’s fire Brigade rushed to the scene and managed to put out the flames.

“Whereas we are yet to establish the cause of the fire, we thank ⁦(the Police)  for the prompt response in swiftly bringing this under control,” said the Ministry spokesperson Charlotte Kemigyisha 

The Police reportedly managed to isolate and remove several gas cylinders from the fire before they could explode.

The fire is said to have crept from nearby burning trash before caching  facility
