Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish and Ruben Dias all start as City manager Pep Guardiola makes ten changes in total for Saturday’s FA Cup final against Manchester United at Wembley.
Grealish and Dias are both back after missing the last two league contests due to minor aches and pains, while De Bruyne is also back after missing the season-ending 1-0 loss to Brentford last week.
Stefan Ortega, John Stones, Manuel Akanji, Ilkay Gundogan, Rodrigo, Bernardo Silva, and Erling Haaland are more players from the team that competed in West London who are returning to the lineup.
While Nathan Ake is among those who move to the bench, Kyle Walker keeps his spot in the defense.
United doing it for their fans
Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay said that they wanted to repay the faith of the fans at Wembley.
“I’ve felt the bond ever since I’ve been a kid and went to watch games,” McTominay said.
“There’s always been that bond with the squad, no matter whether it’s the good times, the bad times.
“Now we’re doing really, really well: we’ve won one cup final, we’re in another [and] top-four and the Champions League, which is amazing for us.
“I feel like that’s the way it is: the fans are behind us whatever the weather, but especially this season I feel like they’ve been there for every single game, from minute one until the last.
“They’re the best fans in the world, by a mile.”
