Express, KCCA Learn CECAFA Kagame Cup Opponents

The long awaited draws for the 2021 Council of East and Central African Football Association (CECAFA) Kagame Cup (Inter clubs) competitions have been successfully conducted on Tuesday.

Title holders Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) have been pitted in group A against Le Messanger Ngozi FC (Burundi) and KMKM FC from Zanzibar.

Newly crowned StarTimes Uganda Premier League champions Express FC have landed Yanga FC (Tanzania) and tournament guests Nyasa Big Bullets from Malawi in a group C matching.

The year’s edition is tentatively earmarked for 1st – 15th August 2021 and scheduled to be held at the National Stadium and Azam Sports Complex in Dar es Salaam – Tanzania.

KCCA won the championship in 2019 after edging Azam FC 1-0 courtesy of a Kizza Mustafa lone strike at the Stade de Kigali in Rwanda.

B: Azam (Tanzania), Altabara (South Sudan), Tusker (Kenya)

C: Young Africans (Tanzania), Express (Uganda), Big Bullets FC (Malawi)
