Max Verstappen will join an elite band of drivers who have won four world titles if the dice roll in his favour in Las Vegas this weekend.

He is currently 62 points ahead of McLaren’s Lando Norris with three races remaining and simply needs to be 60 clear at the end of the race to join that exclusive club of Juan Manuel Fangio (five titles), Alain Prost (four), Michael Schumacher (seven) Sebastian Vettel (four) and Lewis Hamilton (seven).
Here is how Max Verstappen can be champion:
– He wins the race
– He finishes ahead of Norris
– Norris finishes outside the top eight without claiming fastest lap
This weekend’s Las Vegas Grand Prix will be the 22nd of 24 in the 2024 season.
The remaining races will take place in Qatar (1 December) and Abu Dhabi (8 December).
As a reminder, the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix was won by Red Bull’s world champion Max Verstappen with Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc in second.
Sergio Perez, also in a Red Bull, finished third.
