Former Black Stars assistant coach Didi Dramani has thrown his weight behind Ghana coach Otto Addo despite disappointing results in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan.Otto Addo, who returned for a second spell with the national team has come under increasing pressure following the Black Stars unimpressive performance in the qualifying games against Sudan.The Black Stars poor showing in the qualifiers has sparked a lot of concerns among football fans in the country, with a section of Ghanaians calling for the sacking of Otto Addo.But Dramani, who is currently the head coach of the Black Galaxies in an interview with Kumasi-based Akoma FM stood firm behind Otto Addo and has advocated for more time for the trainer despite recent struggles.Since weve change coaches and the problem persists, I feel Otto Addo should be given more time because its not about changing coaches. It has to deal with the right structures and institutions he said.Ghana, who are four-time champions of the AFCON succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to the Falcon Jediane at the Benina Martyrs Stadium in Libya on Tuesday afternoon.The result leave the Black Stars on the verge of failing to qualify for the CAFs biggest tournament to be held in Morocco next year. The four-time African champions last failed to qualify for the AFCON tournament in 2004.The Black Stars will return to action in November to face Angola and Niger in their final Group F games.Ghana now needs to secure wins against already-qualified Angola and Niger, while hoping that Sudan falters against these same opponents, to keep their chances alive for next years tournament in Morocco.
