“If you take just one main principle in attacking, the support. If somebody has the ball in the Sundowns side, it doesn’t matter if it’s in the center or anywhere, immediately, he has support, he has five, six around him in the right direction, in the right distances.

RHULANI MOKWENA’S WORK IN DEFENSIVE ORGANISATION

According to Middendorp, the attacking organisation is as well-oiled as the work done in defence.

“If you go to the defending side, when they lose the possession, immediately, it came back in the last weeks [since Rhulani took over], immediately it’s the repressing.

“With a well-organised rest defensive… I would like to listen to the commentators now, what’s the difference between Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and the rest of the teams,” Middendorp added.

Meanwhile, Sundowns will resume their PSL campaign against Pirates on 31 December in Tshwane.
