Engaged? Mama Joy shows off flashy ring from French bae [photos]

Joy Chauke – fondly known as Mama Joy – is seemingly celebrating her engagement to her mystery French bae, whom she’s nicknamed “Papa Joy.”

The superfan is currently in Paris, spending time with her lover, whom she met at the Rugby World Cup last year.

According to Chauke, her mystery man fit the bill for her travel to the “City of Love” via business class, no less!

MAMA JOY HINTS AT ENGAGEMENT

Since landing in Paris at the start of the Olympics last week, Mama Joy has been posting up a storm of her spoils by her partner.

That includes fine dining, sightseeing, shopping, and even attending a few Olympic events.

“My Papa Joy is so romantic,” she captioned a clip of her getting out of his convertible car.

Chauke also got to meet her future mother-in-law, who warmly embraced her with hugs and kisses.

In her Instagram, Mama Joy also hinted that Papa Joy had popped the question. She posted a picture of a gold ring and watch she had been given, with a fan’s message that read: “Congratulations.”

On her X account, she also confirmed that Papa Joy would be paying lobola for her.

Chauke also claimed that both she and her bae – who were 51 and 50, respectively – were “young at heart.”

CHILDREN FROM A PREVIOUS RELATIONSHIP

According to her X bio, Mama Joy is a mother to two sons, Chad and Kelvin. She also has a granddaughter named Xila.

Little is known about her previous relationships.

Responding to one tweep, Mama Joy revealed that her boyfriend was her “sponsor” behind her trip to France, which included business class flight tickets. 

She added: “I’m in Paris Papa, Joy took over… I am now A Superfan of him. Watch the space. I am enjoying.”
