Techiman Eleven Wonders could face the rap of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) after flouting COVID-19 protocols in their Premier League victory over Ebusua Dwarfs on Friday. The club has been referred to the GFA Disciplinary Committee over their failure to obey the matchday protocols by ensuring that only the required number of persons permitted were allowed into the Ohene Ameyaw Park.Eleven Wonders failed to implement fully and strictly comply with the COVID-19 protocols on the number of persons allowed per match as television cameras captured fans at the venue, making nonsense of Sports Ministrys directive for games to be played behind closed doors.Only club heads, journalists, match officials, players and coaches are allowed into stadiums for games. Even for journalists, the number must not exceed 100.Eleven Wonders has thus defied directives and could be sanctioned by the GFA, who want to run a smooth league without controversy.Eleven Wonders are expected to submit a Statement of Defence or should the club opt for personal hearing, the club will appear at a sitting of the Disciplinary Committee at a date to be announced.Eleven Wonders have made a great start to the campaign, holding Kotoko to a pulsating 1-1 draw against and beating Dwarfs 2-0. They find themselves in the top three.
