E-Levy Is An Agenda To Reduce Gov’t Borrowing – NPP Chairman

The chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ayawaso Central constituency in the person of Bismark Boateng has urged Ghanaians to accept the government’s proposed E-Levy.

He said that Ghanaians have long complained about the government’s borrowing habits, and that a new method has been implemented to help us cut down on our borrowing, and that Ghanaians must support it.

According to him, the fee will assist in resolving the issue of schools under trees, as well as assisting many health structures in meeting Ghanaians’ health demands.

On Wednesday, November 17, 2021, Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta presented the 2022 budget to Parliament, which included a 1.75 percent tax on electronic financial transactions.
