The Ministry of Youth and Sports has declared that the Samuel Kanyan Doe Sports Complex which is currently under renovation will be used for any political activities or events.
“As we move towards the 2023 general and presidential elections in Liberia, there will be demands for the use of the Samuel Kanyan Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville, but due to the ongoing works, the SKD will not be available for any political event and even after its completion” an official statement signed by the Ministry’s Director of Press and Public Affairs, Oxford Brown emphasized.
The statement also encourages the ruling Chairman of the Coalition for Democratic Change Mulbah Morlu to reconsider its plan decision to use the SKD complex for its pending political rally slated for December 20, 2022.
The Ministry at the same time urged the CDC to see the need to take advantage of the Liberia Football Association Facilities and others that could probably provide an option, the statement added.
