Great Olympics extended their unbeaten streak in the 2024/25 Access Bank Division One Zone 3 with a thrilling 2-1 victory over FC Nania on Saturday.The match featured an exciting first half, highlighted by Samuel Abbey Ashie Quaye’s successful penalty conversion in the 44th minute, giving Great Olympics a narrow lead at halftime.Shortly after the break, Isaac Mensah doubled the home team’s advantage. Although Ruben Quaye netted a consolation goal for FC Nania in stoppage time, it wasn’t enough to alter the outcome as Great Olympics held on for the win.In another match, Okwawu United staged a comeback to defeat Hohoe United 2-1 at the Koforidua Sports Stadium on Sunday.Kwadwo Boamah put Hohoe United ahead in the 27th minute, but Mustapha Issah equalized with a stunning goal in the 61st minute, followed by Samuel Boamahs winner just five minutes later.Meanwhile, Inter Allies secured a narrow 1-0 victory against Kotoku Royals, thanks to King Graham’s early goal in the 9th minute.His impressive performance on the field earned him the Player of the Match award, solidifying Inter Allies’ strong showing in the league.
