Didi Dramani: Black Galaxies are focused on securing CHAN qualification
Black Stars assistant coach Mas-Ud-Didi-DramaniBlack Galaxies coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has emphasised his team’s understanding of the high stakes involved as Ghana prepares to face Nigeria in the first leg of their 2024 CHAN qualifier.The match, scheduled for Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium (16:00 GMT), is the first of two legs that will determine which team advances to the 2025 CHAN tournament set to take place in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.Speaking ahead of the crucial clash, Dramani highlighted the teams dedication and unity.We tried as much as possible to put in place a culture that will have us respect one another, devoid of where you are coming from, and also to appreciate that you are the best quality in the country. So everybody knows a clear purpose of what is at stake, and this applies to both the technical staff and the playing body, he stated.Ghana aims to secure back-to-back CHAN appearances for the first time since 2011 and 2014. While the Black Galaxies have yet to win the CHAN title, they reached the finals in 2009 and 2014.The team has been in intensive camp training, determined to make a strong case against their long-standing rivals, Nigeria.
