Court orders production of substantive report on missing Dela MCA

The High Court has ordered the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to produce a substantive report on missing Dela Ward Member of County Assembly Yussuf Hussein on 4th October 2024.

Justice Alexander Muteti said human rights issues should not be taken lightly and ordered the police to fast-track the process using all their available machinery.

Yusuf Hussein was abducted on 13thSeptember along Enterprise Road in Nairobi while abode a taxi.

Hussein’s family told trial Judge Alexander Muteti that they have been in agony for the past two weeks since the MCA was kidnapped.

However, when he took to the witness stand to explain the state of investigations, Nairobi Region DCI Deputy Commander Justus Imana distanced his officers from the allegations.

The Court was further informed that cyber forensic experts are analyzing CCTV footage of the incident.

The Court has directed the DPP and DCI to ensure Maximum protection to the taxi driver who is the key witness.
