Coach Didi Dramani invites 54 players for Black Galaxies CHAN qualifier screening
Black Galaxies coach Mas Ud Didi Dramani has called up two groups of 27 players each for a screening exercise ahead of the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.The first round of qualifiers is set to take place between October 25-27, 2024.The technical team has identified players from Ghanas recent U23 and U20 squads, along with standout performers from the domestic leagues.The selected players will participate in a screening process at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.The first group of players will report from September 30 to October 2, with the second group scheduled from October 7 to 9. Players who impress during the screening will form the core of the Black Galaxies squad for the upcoming qualifiers and international competitions.The tournament will be played between 01- 28 February 2025 with Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania co-hosting.
The qualification slots for the tournament have been allocated as follows:
Zones WAFU A, WAFU B [which Ghana belongs to], UNAF, UNIFFAC, and COSAFA will each have three qualifying teams. The CECAFA zone, which includes the three host countries, will receive an additional slot due to their automatic qualification as hosts. As a result, the total number of teams qualifying for the final tournament will be increased to 19 teams.
