Challenging times for Prophet Ogundipe

This is clearly a challenging time for Prophet Israel Ogundipe after a Lagos High Court found him guilty of fraud charges and sentenced him to two years imprisonment. It would be fascinating to see how he overcomes it.

When the news surfaced during the week, it was like a rumour or fake news considering how he is valued or rated in the society and Celestial Church of Christ (CCC).

The popular philanthropist had been facing the charge since 2007 for allegedly defrauding a United-Kingdom-based woman of N11 million. He had promised to help her buy some landed properties but couldn’t deliver neither did he refund her money.

As a philanthropist, he has won the hearts of many people by providing for the less privileged and orphans.

Earlier this year too, he was appointed an Ambassador for Peace of the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) for his service to society. With this latest development, his integrity and pedigree will be questioned.
