CAF President Patrice Motsepe vows continued crackdown on corruption in second term

CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe has pledged to continue his zero-tolerance approach to corruption as he seeks a second term in office.Speaking about his commitment, Motsepe highlighted the importance of integrity in football and beyond. Elected as CAF President in March 2021, he emphasized that eliminating corruption in African football remains central to his leadership. He noted that success in sports, business, and governance depends on integrity, honesty, and hard work.”Let me say one final thing the zero tolerance for bribery and corruption in football will transcend in zero tolerance of bribery and corruption in politics, in business on the African continent,” he said.”This is part of what we are trying to do to emphasize to our people that we will succeed based on integrity, honesty, based on hard work. In football, you can’t always win maybe there is a national team better than you congratulate them.”I welcome the challenges I am confident there are many many presidents that could take over from me right now let alone in future,”
