CAF President Motsepe aims to boost sponsor confidence in African football
Dr Patrice MotsepeCAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe, who first assumed office on March 12, 2021, has identified strengthening sponsor and partner trust as a key focus for his potential second term.During his initial comments for re-election, Motsepe shared insights on areas for improvement from his first term.The most important thing is to give confidence to the sponsors, partners, and those investing in football,” he stated. “They benefit from their association with African football that upholds ethics, and the judgment of ethics lies with the public and our sponsors.”Motsepe acknowledged that some stakeholders had lingering insecurities about the organizations stability. “Some sponsors were very forthright, voicing past concerns. However, the progress achieved over the last few years reflects the dedication of my team and me,” he added.Confident in the groundwork laid, Motsepe aims to foster a climate of security and ethics that will attract and retain sponsors, ensuring a prosperous future for African football.
