CAC cuts sod for construction $10 million dual head office complex
The Chairman of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) International, Apostle Samuel Amponsah-Frimpong, has admonished Ghanaians not to go to the polls on December 7, to create chaos but to exercise their franchise in peace and patiently wait for the results.
He entreated the citizenry to cherish the prevailing peace been enjoyed and be thankful to God because he had the solutions to the myriad of challenges confronting the nation.
Apostle Amponsah-Frimpong gave the admonition at a sod cutting ceremony for the construction of a $10 million dual head office complex for the Church at Osu in Accra, at the weekend.
“Never become part of the problem, let us be each other’s keeper loving one another, seeking and praying for the peace of the nation as well as participate actively in the political process,” he stated.
Apostle Amponsah-Frimpong pointed out that “we live in a sub region of confusion with several coup d’états and thankfully Ghana has remained in democracy for 30 years which is the doing of the Lord.”
He said election was an opportunity to freely express oneself by using the freedom of choice, since Ghana was a free democratic society, adding that, Ghana was blessed to have nurtured her democracy this far.
Apostle Amponsah-Frimpong said the edifice expected to be completed and dedicated in 30 months would have a 1000-seating capacity auditorium and the main office which would be at the south wing of the seven storey building and another four storey building with syndicated rooms.
He commended the congregation for their immense support for the project and urged them to continue to contribute their quota to enable the project to be completed on schedule.
Apostle Amponsah-Frimpong said the idea to build a new head office for the Church was conceived about 20 years ago by the previous administrations because the current head office did not have enough space to support the ever increasing work load.
The General Secretary of CAC, Apostle Samuel Addai-Kusi, said the project which was long overdue was a clarion call on the rank and file of the Church to contribute towards the financing of the project.
He added that all the foreign missions were also contributing towards the new head office project which he said, would be a one stop event center comprising residential accommodations.
Present at the ceremony included Nii Kwabena Bonne V, Vice President of the Osu Traditional Council, Nii Adjei Tawiah, the Korley Klottey Municipal Chief Executive, retired chairmen, some Apostles as well as Elders of the Church.
