Bulls lure former Stormers flyer to Pretoria

The Bulls are reportedly on the verge of unveiling one of the Stormers’ former backline stars as their next acquisition.

According to Netwerk24, speedster Sergeal Petersen has been lured to Pretoria and has signed with the Bulls from 1 July, 2023.

Petersen joined Western Province from the Cheetahs in 2018.

He played 37 matches for Western Province and 29 for the Stormers.

Bulls coach Jake White keen on Petersen’s services

Petersen also previously represented the Southern Kings and EP Kings.

Equally at home on the wing and at fullback, the 28-year-old left the Cape to continue his career in Japan with Shimizu Koto Blue Sharks in 2022.

But it is understood that Bulls Director of Rugby Jake White is keen on him as cover for Springboks Kurt-Lee Arendse and Canan Moodie.
